It was the decade that moved on from the austerity of post-war Britain and embraced youth with its quirky models and band that created mass hysteria i.e. the Beatles.

You no longer had to be middle class and middle aged for people to sit up and take notice. Leading musician and groups from the period including Cliff Richard, Tom Jones Beatles Fashion was influenced by David Bailey, Mary Quant and Vidal Sassoon these people came from ordinary backgrounds and were all in their early twenties as they set the sixties alight with their inspiration.
