Motown Records, also known as Tamla-Motown outside of the United States, is a record label originally based out of Detroit, Michigan (“Motor City”, hence mo(tor)town), from where it achieved widespread international success. Motown played an important role in the racial integration of popular music as the first record label owned by an African American and primarily featuring African American artists to regularly achieve crossover success and have a widespread, lasting effect on the music industry.

Country

Live Band Country Music

Country music, is a blend of popular musical forms originally found in the Southern United States. It has roots in traditional folk music, Celtic music, blues, gospel music, hokum, and old-time music and evolved rapidly in the 1920s. The term country music began to be used in the 1940s when the earlier term hillbilly music was deemed to be degrading, and the term was widely embraced in the 1970s, while country and western has declined in use since that time.

Rock & Roll

Live Band Rock & Roll Music

Rock band (or rock group) is a generic name to describe a group of musicians specializing in a particular form of electronically amplified music. Deriving its name from the musical style which was its immediate progenitor, rock and roll, the type of music played by rock groups has its roots deeply steeped in both rock and roll, and its immediate forebear, rhythm and blues.

Soul

Soul music has some of its roots in gospel music and rhythm and blues. Many consider soul music to be a genre of music created by African Americans in northern United States inner cities, particularly Chicago Other areas, such as Detroit and Memphis, Tennessee quickly followed and created their own regional soul music style, due to their gospel roots.

Pop

Pop music (or “pop”) is a subgenre of contemporary popular music that typically has a dance-along rhythm or beat, simple melodies and a repeating structure. Pop song lyrics are often emotional, commonly relating to love, loss, emotion, or dancing. The term does not refer to a single genre or sound, and its meaning is different depending on the time and place.

Like the soloist/duos, trios offer one more to the small acts; the important difference in this category is Trios can have music specially written for them, whether it be classical to modern day, the more people in the act the variety is available.

Like the soloists category , there are now two artist, doing al the same but you will get more contrast with two. You are always assured of a double act when there are two.

Solos

Orangements has a large range of musicians and artists who offer themselves as an individual act. The range of entertainment is endless; it could be a magician to musician in this category we are specialising in the music genre. You can have pianist guitarist solo singers and every instrument available. Most of these acts are available because the lack of space, and perhaps cost has to be kept to a minimum.
